The designs below can be developed without touching a single line of code. These designs demonstrate the creative power that Storefront and its suite of extensions provides. In volume 1 we're looking at the store page, in particular.

Book store

In a bookstore, we've chosen a soft color palette as well as a serif typeface for a formal and reliable look. The width should be set to the same as the size of the page and showing items in 4 rows lets you display a wide range of items per page.

We also added a prominent search bar within the header widget region allowing folks to quickly find what they're searching for.

Stores for fashion

Fashion stores often feature design that is simple and monotone which allows for the photography of products to stand out and draw attention. Using a simple style and colour scheme is very simple and can achieve great outcomes with the correct catalog of products.

We show the versatility of the widget's header by displaying some impact advertisements, enticing users to buy your product.

Tech store

Tech stores could be selling software or other digital goods. We have used a lively design and striking contrast colours to deliver an elegant style. The reputation of tech-related products often precede them - removing the bar immediately takes visitors into your catalog of products. This works great if you have a small suite of products rather than a gargantuan catalog.

Store for arts and crafts in the autumnal season

The sidebar can be removed in the case of a smaller catalogue of items and showing smaller and smaller items on each row can really help the photography of your products stand out. This is especially useful if you're selling products that rely on photography to market hand-crafted items - which is a perfect example of this. The large product imagery will help illustrate the craftsmanship that is displayed.

By adding a fall-themed background image or autumnal colors as well as centrally aligning or refining your website's header design will make it feel friendly and on-point with minimal effort.

Stores with a sense of humor

Combining abrasive textures with modern, utilitarian typefaces may help add character and define the style. This can work really well in counterculture shops that sell more niche products. Subtle Patterns is an amazing resource for finding awesome, tiling textures. Don't get too extravagant and remember that the less you have, the better!
