I'm from Venezuela. I grew up in a very tropical city that was surrounded by mountains and palm trees, but it was never allowed for me to explore my environment fully (partly because of my parents' excessive protection, but mostly because of all the anxieties that surrounded my country). The majority of my time was spent indoors. TV and reading became my primary methods of entertainment - along with drawing! I spent so much time drawing my favourite anime characters as well as my family, friends, pets I was not allowed to have, costumes, and everything else.

It was mostly a pastime that I had a little bit conscious that it wouldn't go beyond that in Venezuela. However, my family made the decision to move to UK, and this transformed everything for me. As a teen I had finally been granted more independence, was free to travel by myself and to think about what I would like to accomplish.

My fascination with characters and storytelling led me to comics, that in turn, led me to illustration. Everything became one. After some years of study (and lots of effort) I'm now freelance as an Illustrator in London.

My style is bold, fun and sometimes a little wild (in the best manner!). Sometimes it can be simple but it could also be incredibly detailed; but every illustration has a person or animal or a nice bit of landscape. I like to think that each illustration is one in the same.

My main goal is having fun with it. I am reminded of things that enthralled me as a child up: really vivid colours and characters that are sneaky, hilarious moments, and tiny little details to be lost into. It is my goal to encompass the best of these things whenever I create something new. If I can inspire the viewer to be excited or content, or feel like they've discovered something fascinating, then I've accomplished the goal I set for myself.

"Another important aspect for me is the sense of humor. I realized over time that I'm not the most qualified person to produce abstract or serious art however I am pretty good at creating something lighthearted that can inspire laughter. I play to my strengths now."
