Who are the celebrities who have dropped NFTs?

It's an incredibly loaded question for a couple of reasons. If you look on Google on "celebrity NFTs," you'll find that there are numerous numerous more than you could even imagine. If we were to cover each one of them, this list would be about similar to your most-loved novel.

The excitement surrounding NFTs is unquestionable, the celebrities' hype isn't a good source of investing advice. Before purchasing any NFT seek advice from an expert financial or investment advisor.

However, to address this first query, here are some noteworthy (and fairly recently) entry points into the famous NFT market. Here's a few of the most notable.

Tony Hawk

The clip shows his most recent 540-degree ollie. You can see the video on YouTube, fans of Tony Hawk can own a portion of his memory through the purchase of an NFT. Based on the feedback fans posted on the video there's no reason to doubt that the NFT project was extremely successful.

Kings of Leon

The band's latest album, When You See Yourself It was released exclusively as an NFT. The band also held an auction for six "Golden Tickets," that give the purchasers the front row seats at one concert of each tour for life.

Ellen DeGeneres

For a 24 hour auction, DeGeneres made available her explanation on NFTs along with the cat that she physically utilized on air to explain the phenomenon. The NFT ended up selling for $33,495, which she donated to World Central Kitchen, the Food-relief charity created by chef Jose Andres.

Jack Dorsey

Twitter has made significant strides since the former Chief Executive Jack Dorsey tweeted the words "just creating my twitter account." And as you might have guessed, the first tweet became an NFT and sold off to raise an astonishing amount of cash.

I am just getting my twttr set up

What kind of pile of cash was this sale worth? It was just shy of $3 million. Much like DeGeneres, Dorsey changed the entire amount to Bitcoin and gave the money to GiveDirectly an organization helping people in need, particularly to support COVID-19 in Africa.

Shawn Mendes

Another musician in the fold! In contrast to Kings of Leon, Mendes didn't release an entire album as an NFT. However, Mendes released a line of digital "wearables," including a digital guitar, necklace as well as earrings.

Mendes' NFT offerings netted his company a total of more than $600,000. In a similar way to Jack Dorsey and Ellen DeGeneres, Mendes donated that money to charitable causes. More specifically, the proceeds was donated to the Shawn Foundation Wonder Grants, designed to assist young activists who have big thoughts.

Snoop Dogg

Lionel Messi

Lionel Messi is one of the greatest soccer (er, futbol) players of all time. Messi's actual rookie card could be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. In the month of August 2021, Messi introduced a new series of NFTs to collectors looking for an electronic alternative.

Messi partnered with artist BossLogic to create a series of three NFTs that commemorate some of his greatest moments as an athlete. In the initial day of their release, the NFTs brought in more than three million dollars in revenues. Unlike those of some of the celebrities that we have listed the proceeds from these NFTs were not all donated to charity.

Stephen Curry

Curry's NFT collection consisted of 2,974 items that cost $333 each. These NFTs were replicas of the shoes he wore, namely Genesis Curry Flows and showcased some of the pairs which he used during his most memorable shots during the NBA. These digital shoes have long since sold out and are available for use across multiple metaverses and online games.

Steve Aoki

Steve Aoki is one of the top DJ names. Aoki is also extremely engaged in the sport trading card as well as NFT markets--and in April of 2021, he joined forces along with 3D visual artist Antoni Tudisco to develop an assortment of NFTs.

Aoki's NFT project also came with an physical copy of the work. The NFT collection earned Aoki approximately $4.29 million. When he was reflecting on the work, Aoki stated that this was "an opportunity to finally merge the world of collectibles, art, and music in a way that I've never been able to realize before."

The beginning of a new Era in Art Collectibles

There's still an enormous number of individuals who collect nothing but physical assets. Most people prefer to have the actual image, photograph, or collectible to display in their homes. It's true. All evidence suggests that there will always be a market for physical art.
