As we approach the end of the calendar year I'd like to let you know what we've done and the experiences that we've been in the last few months . In the past three months, we've completed three six-week cycles and our usual cooling downs in between. There's a lot to talk about in this blog post, and I'll dive into.
Big Batch projects
We delivered six "big bunch" projects. They were prudent bets for the future, with the ability to make incremental improvements in response to feedback from our clients, as well as improvements in our infrastructure for technology.
1. A new metrics experience
It was the time that there was the "standard issue" collection of SaaS indicators for customers to assess their effectiveness. Over time we found that the system wasn't meeting the requirements in a couple different ways. One was that it was not accessible to customers that weren't expert in data and lacking sufficient detail to users with extensive knowledge of data (or maybe even their own internal analytics staff). It led to a lack of trust in the information we had shared.
The last time we did this, we launched out an all-new API for Data collection and an analytics layer that established the foundation for an intimate user experience in terms of metrics, while with a focus on users. This included removing indicators that were no longer relevant in addition to adding additional, and making them more reliable and exact.

Our new Trials metrics dashboard
We are still utilizing a handful of conventional measures, which are based on requests. The new measures focus on current trends and evaluate the performance of your company over more time.
They are both based on the same structure which is built on the examination of patterns in a calendar-based month-to-month basis. This is better suited to organizations that offer subscriptions that use . These trends are tracked in intervals with columns which are separated. Below, you'll find an overview of each portion of the month.

Our new Churn metrics dashboard
Click at any cell segment to open the chart of the data from that particular month, and also look at all the details in this graph (whether you're looking for subscribers or members).
Simply put, you could trace the route through the cells until you reach the Atom. These were created to aid makers understand how to work in a way that is efficient, as well as the best way to improve their performance.
Most recent trends indicators include: MRR. Find out the elements that contribute to your monthly recurring revenues carried over from the previous month, addition of active members, upgrade cancellations, downgrades, as well as missed payments. Also, you can see ARPM as well as LTV. You can then determine the amount of Paying Members. Simple, check out how your membership of paying members change in intervals of time. This sorting feature is offered when you utilize MRR (upgrades in addition to downgrades, etc.). The first is Net income. It is a quick review of the cashflow during the month . It's calculated using the total of your earnings minus refunds. - Churn. Determine if there's problems under the surface, with the aid of the revenue churn breakdown based on voluntary (cancellations) as well as non-voluntary (failed payments). It is also possible to find numbers and rates for every one of these categories (i.e. X missed payments in an amount of 1 percent). - Trials. Check out the findings from both paid and free trial throughout the time. Every month, you'll be able to determine the number of trials that have been initiated and the duration, and which ones were converted into recurring memberships as well as the conversion rate for your trial. - Plan comparison. Choose up to five plans and compare them against the other plans by using one of the metrics above.
2. Comment and Likes on content
Posts let customers communicate with members who are paid by email. In addition, they are able to post to their own blogs hosted on their servers. It can be used in a variety of methods, including an alternative newsletter that offers benefits to members, or simply to reach out to members, and keep track of.

New Commenting feature
To help better split the necessary space to promote dialog and foster a sense of belonging, you are now able to allow comments and likes on postings (and comments that share a like with comments). These can be enabled in a global and per-post basis. Also, you can secure a read-only status once a discussion is complete its direction.
It is possible to deep-link to comment pages, load current comments without refreshing pages or refreshing and showcase badges with the opinions of employees, as well as to control negative remarks made by criminals. Members also have the option of setting notifications for their web browsers every time new comments are published.
Posts are a resource that we continue to invest into and are extremely enthusiastic over the possibilities of new uses cases this opens the door for our customers.
3. Better group subscriptions
subscribers can market subscriptions within groups that include multiple seats. They can be managed and bought through a single person. The majority of them are used by institutions or for commercial use.
The subject has been debated often over the years, however we has seen several improvements from the user-interaction we've witnessed and our feedback from our customers.

The new Interface for Group Subscriptions interface
We have made significant changes on Group Subscriptions:
- Groups of plan members now have the option of self-service upgrades of their personal subscriptions into group plans that used to be handled manually by administrators.
- Managers changing it's the possibility for group managers to transfer their management responsibility of the group to another participant as well. This is much easier for the administrators to manage the site as well. Managers cannot have a seat however customers can choose whether the manager of the subscription counts towards seats included within the subscription or whether the seats will not be counted.
- Auto-renew is not available on subscriptions purchased externally If the group's subscription is paid by external means (via cheque or any other means) and we don't provide auto-renewal options in the account since it's managed by the site admin.
- Seat utilization is shown in the admin we have improved our dashboards and are able to show more clearly seats used for every group subscription.
- Generic link to manage members: Previously to deep connect a user into the section of their account in which they were able to control their group, they had to provide their unique URL that included the ID. Today, you can use a common routing URL, which is employed by developers so they can streamline their support for customers.
4. Changes to our Marketing Site

All of this is to highlight the flexibility of our program and how we can incorporate it into a wide range of scenarios.
5. Improved performance
It's utilized by a variety of large producers, all of which generate millions of dollars in annual revenues, as well as thousands of customers. While we've been onboarding our clients, we noticed some areas of our system for administration became extremely large and slow in the course of use. This was an indication that we had not been delivering of our reliability and the quality of our services.
A whole cycle has been dedicated to improving the performance of a few key areas Activity Dashboard and Dashboard CSV exports, and the split view for free members. The user experience for the account that has large users has improved and we're seeing dramatically shorter loading times and a decrease of work burdens through our instrumentation.
6. Cancellation surveys
To give additional information to creators around what is causing members to cancel their subscriptions, we're sending cancellation surveys to those who have cancelled. The data is compiled to create the most up-to-date cancellation view.

The brand new Cancellation Surveys are a feature
The data does not just help the creators regain the customers, but it will also give feedback loops to assist them in understanding the value of their program's membership over time. This will assist to ensure that the program is aligned with their customers needs.

Our new Cancellation surveys

Additionally, it is possible to look into the reasons of cancellation which are broken down for each segment. The data is processed and saved in CSV. CSV like all the other types of information .
Surveys can be switched off or turned off in certain situations however, they're usually disabled.
On-the-fly, small-batch projects
These are the smaller tasks that were carried out alongside the bigger projects mentioned earlier (not but including support and bug tickets). The average time span is 2 days and two weeks of effort and were affected by feedback from our customers and the insights from our teams that communicate with our clients. We [email protected]
