Staff Select Premiere: "The Kites" by Seyed Payam Hosseini

The initial Staff Pick premiere will feature Seyed Payam Hosseini's "The Kites,"" the heartbreaking tale which is told through the eyes an infant boy during his childhood that is set at the border of destruction which separates Iran and Iraq.

A conversation which begins with a simple call and response that's far A small boy has to figure out what's the most effective way to deal with a ball that a little girl is throwing at him ends up on the opposite side of a mine-laden divide. There's an area to be thought about, however as a matter of fact, the crossing of border languages create a new hurdle. With the assistance of his family members and parents, the child begins his journey to return the kite to its original form.

In a variety of ways the story can be interpreted as a symbol of creativity and imagination that is awe inspiring: care for everyone and the ability to think creatively in solving problems and the determination to find a way to bring back what was lost. In "The Kites" Hosseini manages to image this film as a positive light of hope within the confines of a hazy historical.

     We spoke with Seyed to talk about his reasons in making the film, his challenges and casting. Seyed's responses are composed in prose and reads as follows:

      Inspiring:    

"We are living in a time-line of physical locations

     HTML1 Kurdistan is a state that is split into four distinct areas    

We are situated in the Kurdish region of Iran

Border isn't something that is brand new for us.

And this is what appeared to be peace, love and friendship

     From the point of view of children's of view    

     Cross the boundaries    

To me, the tree is a sign of strength, a sign of the strength of the tree.

The kite for me is an emblem of freedom to fly around across the globe.

This was very helpful in the development of "'The Kites. '"

On challenges:

"Making animations shorts isn't hard at all

A filmmaker may create a film that is not official

The world becomes more complex

The design of a credible border was the most important challenge for the HTML0 project

The place that I've searched for for over a prolonged amount of time.

It was a blessing to discover this website in a border city which is further away however, it is only a few miles far from Iraqi Kurdistan

The pleasure of filmmaking takes away the difficulties and worries. "

On casting:

"Choosing the right actors can be extremely crucial and is an issue for me.

In my play, I use actors who are not professional actors to portray my characters.

The people I request to help have no understanding about cinema or the art of making films.

It was crucial to the kites' success that the youngsters were trustworthy.

     Take their geographical place and tell the story    

This is the reason I was searching for children in the countryside to select from

up until I discovered kids similar to this in the lower parts of the city (slum)

After a few tests, their IQ convinced me that I'd chosen the right choice.

I've read scripts several times, but I just read them for an understanding of the story the documentary

It's great that I'm very pleased with the outcome of the movie created by four characters for children. "

His advice for filmmakers who want to make films:

" As a young filmmaker

Apart from educational reasons, HTML0 is a condition that requires filmmaking

     Movies, movies, read and write about specialized books, novels    

     An assortment of short stories that are written in a short format    

And making low-budget independent short films

It will provide prerequisites which will enable us to get started with filmmaking in those who wish to be carnal.

What's next?

"After 'The Kites'

I made two short films.

     Russian vodka-themed film that features a gender-neutral theme appropriate for children of all ages    

HTML0 A short non-mahram film (funded by women who have a thousand dollars.) This film is about the violence females face.

My next venture will concentrate on the murder of Kurds in Iraqi Kurdistan by Saddam Hussein known as "Beyond The Hills" that is currently nearing the point of creating. "
