The legacy of the family of artists is a long-standing tradition for Illustrator and painter Kentaro Yoshida. His motherwho is also an artist was an influencer in his art, even though she was not entirely supportive of his choices for his career. "First she was not very enthusiastic about me becoming an artist full time. The way she viewed it was that she was aware of how difficult it would be because of her own experiences. However, I did decide to offer the idea to try to see if it worked and, ultimately was able to make it through," Kentaro says. "She is certainly the greatest source of inspiration for me."
Kentaro comes originally from the village of fishing a family from Toyama, Japan, but relocated to Australia at the age of 18 and lives in Sydney. Following his move and later successes, Kentaro has built a full-time, freelance business as an artist who sells prints, custom-designed paintings of surf boards as well as murals, and has also worked for large companies and as artists.
