From the time she was a little kid, New Zealand-based maximalist artist and interior design consultant Evie Kemp enjoyed designs and art. "I would be drawing all the time or redesigning my dollhouse or watching room makeovers on the television." In her teens, Evie says, "I was very frightened of being 'different' and was willing to do anything to avoid standing out."

The desire to be accepted led her to law school, but during her time in law school, "my mental health became poor," Evie says, "and I was forced to take the time off for six months. It was during that time, when I recovered I focused my attention on figuring on what I truly love, and I decided to go to school for graphic design instead." Returning to her first love of art has had a profound impact on her. "It was through that degree when I began to find my voice and embrace the many quirks I'd held down for a long time."

Since making that decision to focus on developing her skills in an area she's passionate about, Evie's determination and expressive voice have helped her to create her own company. "I find more and more that I'm more confident and artistic and colorful than ever," she says. "It's a bit like the old "Which one came first, the egg or the chicken?' thing I'm not sure if I get more comfortable and confident with myself the more my work is more exuberant or the other way around. My style isn't something I would say is 'developed' though--it's definitely in the process of developing."

Evie's fashion sense shines through her vibrant style that's brimming with vibrant colors and mixed patterns. Find out more about Evie's advice for building an online brand that reflects your voice creating an engaging content strategy, and using the power of multiple streams of income effortlessly.

Creating a branded site that is unique to your company and services is not just about having the presence of a distinctive brand helps to distinguish yourself from crowd. Also, it's important to portray your brand's style and attract the kinds of customers, customers or people who are most likely to connect to you.

Design a website that's as useful as it is eye-catching

Another must-have for Evie is the the announcement bar which greets users at the top of each page of her site. "My website features a lot of content, so it's a great idea to quickly draw attention to certain things!"

She appreciates that these features only "take me a minute to add, but I want to keep my site current and running as well as it can."
