When Jeremy Cohen was just 15 and a half, he took a trip with his family in Yellowstone National Park unexpectedly sparked his interest in photography.

"My dad bought me a digital camera that he used to point and shoot," Jeremy shared with . "My sister began taking pictures with it and I thought they looked really awesome, so I was eager to try it out. I took a bunch of photos from nature, which inspired me to sign up for a film photography class at my high school , as an elective when I got back home."

The initial desire to document his surroundings established the basis for his career as professional photographer. Starting with to his Quarantine Roof Culture collection, to the daily Today I Photographed project, Jeremy went on to make use of his camera to "uplift and amplify untold depictions of humanity." The world were impressed: Jeremy has built an following of more than a million followers on social media--and has even been able to build a successful freelance career.

Pivoting to freelance with the help of a website

The strategy was successful: "I started to get employed for a few small jobs, and eventually, I was able to finally work full-time as a photographer freelance."

"I am able to use my website ," Jeremy says. "It's my primary portfolio that allows viewers to view the very best of the best of my work. Whether it's personal projects, client projects, or any other images."

The creation of a website is also a way to establish freelancers' credibility. "In my opinion," Jeremy says, "a solid website is imperative to a photographer for clients to take them seriously."
