We all have had an "less-than-perfect" shopping online in our daily life. Despite the difference in design, the same issues which plague brick and mortar retailers are also affecting companies that operate online at the moment.

The main difference is the fact that, if there's a concern within a company, we can examine the problem in depth and discuss the issue with our employees. This isn't as easy in dealing with business issues via the internet.

The experience of conducting business online is reminiscent of how individuals feel inside their automobiles. Quickly, the cars on the street aren't really people but they're "machines". They could be the source of irritation every time "that car" comes to a stop, or speeds up or lets off its the horn at us. It's hard to keep from forgetting that there's someone in the vehicle that is exactly the same as we are.

This doesn't mean that it is mandatory to be involved in everything being discussed, and it's certainly not necessary for you to endure the wrath of others. Respecting the other person just implies that you treat them like you would treat them when you were with them in the grocery store.
