Illustrations that incorporate movement and space The CreativeMindClass Blog
Since I was a young child I've been a fan of drawing as well as paint and create using my hands. It's been the most convenient means of expression for me. As a child in Taiwan the pursuit of the art of making was often thought of as an unfavourable thing, and I was frequently advised by parents to take classes in more practical subjects, or else I'll end in the streets hungry.
My mother has always encouraged me to achieve whatever I wanted to do and she did everything she could to help in achieving my goals. Following my return in the United States and graduating high school, I decided that I wanted to pursue an it a career in art.

I was admitted to ArtCenter College of design, where I received a bachelor's degree in Illustration and Art with the intention of advancing into the realm of animated feature. But, as I progressed through the course I came across motion graphics and became enthralled with its versatility in addition to the stunning artwork created by those whom I admirate.

Which is the style you prefer?
The road isn't over yet towards finding a look I can confidently identify as my personal. I'm often drawn to trying various different styles each and then... A month will see me wanting to try out some colourful activities. Soon I'll want to explore the natural hues. find myself enthralled by a particular shape driving style for a while, however one day I'll be exhausted and desire to explore a style built around shapes.

Sometimes I'll combine two things seem fascinating to me as if I'm always on a quest to discover and learn. In the process of tinkering with several locations, I'm finding there are some shapes and colors that I'm attracted to. Perhaps it's the beginning of an aesthetic style?

It's one of the reasons I'm so grateful to be working at Oddfellows Sometimes I find myself contemplating whether I'm lucky enough to be working with an incredible group of individuals. At work there is often the ability to change our style from project to project. Virtually every project must be executed using various methods, which is the reason I'm always learning interesting information from my colleagues each day.

What's the secret behind drawing your art?
I love drawing sketches of subjects that appeal to me or am intrigued by. It is then my intention to draw my own personal interpretations of them.
But, my primary goal is to entertain. I believe that having fun is the most important factor in creating anything that viewers will be able to tell if a creator had enjoyment in doing something... that gives it a sparkle.

When I was fighting against the epidemicand watching our colleagues and our studio striving in giving back to our community at large, I was inspired to launch an online Patreon named Joy&Frens with a 50% of the income will go to charity chosen from my supporters. On the Patreon, I share Tips and Tricks, create videos, invite colleagues to join me on collaborations, as well as impart my expertise.
My work is also seen through Instagram and my web site.
