about pursuing challenges and shifting career directions
Before moving to London in the year 2017, I resided located in a small city in Germany and was employed in the field of After Effects animator. Though there weren't any issues with my creativity but my capabilities deteriorated fast and I was really frustrated.
The move to London and getting familiar with the amazing people in animation around me gave me tremendous satisfaction. It was like "Damn I'm running alongside the most popular children . I'm ready to be my best professional."
In the wake of my experience at this year's Pictoplasma Conference, I decided to become one of the incredible makers of character. I soon realized that my characters are more effective with 3D and I'm learning through the process, which isn't easy but also extremely satisfying!
My work was noticed at Greenhouse Animation, who currently serves as my director for Greenhouse Animation.
Concerning the X-Files project, as well as the mysteries surrounding socks disappearing
One of the first projects I created with my new design is my Covered by Lemonade clip.

Lemonade Insurance approached me to design a piece that would go with its current Instagram collaborative with artists. Its mission is to act as an insurance provider to provide content. The idea of cute everyday items at risk popped into my brain. It's how the X-Files idea was created.
The last winter I was in locked down to watch the whole X-files which is why abductions by aliens that were of the classical variety was a natural thing to do. It was a problem that the characters needed to stay at the same place to stay in the same place in order to stop the animation loop in order to actually be abducted. This is when I came up with an idea to make the washing machine open , and one pink sock climb towards the UFO.
While I was designing the UFO and providing it with legs, I noticed the way things can be pulled into. The UFO is currently without footwear and working to get it back!
I've found that telling an amazing story can be done when you combine different elements that might seem unrelated initially. I find that creating something unexpected to happen and to also create the impression of character to objects, by using hilarious images to the surfaces of their objects, is greatest fun I have ever had!
Information about the animation process
My process for creating my art begins with sketched sketches of the characters as well as an outline of my plot. I changed the animatic to Lemonade to convey the concept as well as the time. After that, I get in Cinema 4D and model all my characters. It is also the time to try out the different products I select to work with, and I also design styles frames.
Once the animation within Cinema 4D is done, I export it to After Effects for compositing and the finalization. The light beam that is pink, for example, was created by using After Effects.

HTML0In relation to audio effects as well as in concert in conjunction with Phill Brookes
This was the first project I had the pleasure of working with sound designer Philip Brookes who was an absolute rockstar! His contribution raises the quality of the video to an entirely new level and joins the footage flawlessly! This was an incredible project which I'm looking forward to making many more like it!
We've had a conversation with Phil about the technique used to make sound effects for his X-Files project. Check out the complete interview of Philip Brookes.
In the present I'm learning about new methods for character rigging as well as creating gorgeous textures with Cinema 4D and Redshift. I'm currently trying out the combination of 2D as well as 3D animation, and I'm curious to know what direction my journey into character design will take my career in the near future!
Tips for artists for altering your career direction
Tips I have anyone who is looking to shift directions:
- Discover which method is the most fitting for your situation and learn about the process! Moving design is a process where you're expected to know everything you can about. This isn't possible.
- Uniqueness is something that should be taken seriously and do not minimize your individuality. Your uniqueness is distinctive. Your artistic voice is unique.
- Take note of your thoughts. Whatever is taking place inside your head, you must take it into consideration. After that, you'll be able to create your own!
