If you have ever thought about starting the idea of an online social network, then you don't have to be the only one. The research has shown that 60 percent of organizations have a branded online community and that 15% of them were looking to launch one within the next 12 months. From intimate masterminds to sprawling ecosystems that have thousands of members as low as free, to large amounts of dollars, the options to manage the online community are limitless.

Describe your community and why you are there.

My group is called Conscious Collective is designed for those who are ready to embrace their full potential and their strength. The members of our community realize the fact that we're all connected and we're all as a whole, and we carry this awareness to spirituality. We have training as well as challenges for mindfulness, meditation as well as personal growth with an emphasis on making spirituality easy as well as accessible and enjoyable. Everyone loves the new challenge system, the Live Room, and the leaderboard feature.

How structured is your community?

Two main circles are within Conscious Collective for now. We'll expand as we grow. A majority of the activity happens within "The Forum". It is a place for conversation about all subjects, challenges conversations and share, and invitations to events that live. Also, we have an "Spirit Market" group for members to feature, buy sell, trade, or buy their metaphysical artwork and other accouterments. Group meditations, regular challenges classes, and various other activities are held inside The Forum / Live Room (which is SO much better than Zoom, by the way!). We're adding virtual co-working as well as art night and oracle evenings this month.

Additionally, I utilize the platform for my premium membership and my VIP mentorship group.

A recent community win

Many are starting to embrace the site. Members are asking for things such as art nights, oracle evening as well as a variety of other things, and want to be involved and even be the host.

The Leaderboard is fantastic! Every month we offer a prize to the winner. Last month was a box of Onyx Coffee, one of the premier coffee roasters in the US. This isn't a massive giveaway, but it adds some fun to the competition and is great for engagement.

Describe your community and why people gather.

Stylist Soul Tribe is a mastermind community within the industry of beauty. It is comprised of 20 tribes of stylists, salon owners teachers, stylists, and entrepreneurs with great concepts. Each month, we gather for accountability, discuss goals, build friendships and help one another through the lows. This is truly a community like no other with many deep friendships that have been made.

What is the structure of your community?

Using the newest portal within the mastermind community allows us to grow to a new scale. It allows us to hype one another up for challenges, share wins, and build even more connections. Being able to have live calls and teachings is another great tool we use to ensure that we keep our engagement high.

A recent community win

A big win for Stylist Soul Tribe this year was that we had 100 members in our mastermind group. We is so thrilled to start Stylist Soul Tribe in January and expand even further! We have a vision casting session coming up soon in which we touch on mindset and visualization, as well as the full cycle of success.

Top tip for others Heroes

An idea I'd like to offer is to allow space for your group to be creative. Many of the major concepts and innovations in the mastermind have been generated by people in the mastermind. A lot of connections have been formed naturally by giving an environment for them to take place. This has allowed me to use the tools to create a framework to run smoothly so that I can show up as authentically as is possible to my fellow members.

Tell us about your community and why you are there.

The Kathy Keats Community is a wonderful collection of pet lovers who understand that reaching the fullest potential of dog sport (or whatever else) isn't only about skill development, it's about growing. You can't kid a dog. The dogs are amazing mirrors who make us feel humble, push us, expose our flaws and encourage us to do better ... to them in our own lives, as well as for those around us.

What is the structure of your community?

It's still an experimental process of creating the ideal structure for my community. At present, I'm making use of (or I'll be using) it three methods: one as an adjunct to online classes, two is to provide a community of accountability that is supportive membership in its own right as well as a final option is as a free area to connect with my listeners and bring people into my network. I make use of a mix of live meetups with using the Live Room feature and Challenges to keep my audience engaged and focused in courses. Also, I create weekly updates for my community members and will be implementing conversations in the free area so I know what topics and guest guests will be popular in my podcasts.

The top tip for the other Heroes

If you're planning to use community as part of online courses, consider onboarding the community section first prior to the start date for the course and encourage your students to participate there with an opening week live activity, competition, or leader board scavenger hunt--because this is the place where the most learning curves will occur when you open your area of instruction. This can help avoid overwhelm and makes it much easier to link to particular lessons within the course.

Recent community wins

The latest course was a huge hit, largely because many people who attend my courses are not tech-savvy but were easily able to take part in live Q&As because of the intuitive user interface. The live sessions have had more face-to face participation in the online community than I ever managed with other conferencing tools because the tech didn't get in the way.

Describe your community and why they gather.

The community I am part of, The Level Up Club, is for people who are creative, entrepreneurs, and change-makers to gather and meet like-minded individuals that want to learn, level up, and make a positive impact in the world.

What are the structures of your community?

There are currently two access groups "The Community" which is open to anyone who wants to join, and "The Golden Circle Mastermind" which is my private mastermind group. I currently have five circles: one community is one for general posts, Bookish is for talk about books, and Podcasting is for, you guessed it -- podcasters. Additionally, I have NLP and Hypnosis are for those looking to discuss the subject, as well as one for my masterminds. These challenges have been a lot of entertaining and my group loves taking part. So far the challenges have focused on getting to know each other, along with health and mindfulness related. Meetups are an excellent opportunity to introduce new people into the community when you share your events via social platforms.
