Five Benefits of Joining Our NEW Slack Community: Global SaaS Leadership *

Mar 23, 2022

The short version of this article is this:

  • Just recently, we created a new (free!) Slack community: Global SaaS Leaders.
  • It's open to leaders at established SaaS and software companies (including founders! ).

Why we're starting a free Slack group

Because communities are awesome!

No, seriously.

There are many additional SaaS and software-based communities available. Many of them are fantastic.

We began thinking about making the type of community that we wouldlike to be a part of, we realized that there was a chance to design something innovative.

We have come up with Global SaaS Leaders as a area with five distinct characteristics:

1. Global Focus

There was a wide range of SaaS and software community which were U.S.-based or focused around a specific area.

Global SaaS Leaders will be distinct. could be in the U.S., but our customers and the general SaaS community are spread across the world.

In the future, as we build our community We'll concentrate on acquiring a wide participation and an international perspective.

2. Created for the highest-ranking executives of well-established SaaS and software companies

One of the most interesting software-related conversations we came across online was about the idea of starting the first SaaS business

These conversations can be beneficial to those who are trying to build an SaaS.

We observed that it was extremely difficult to get useful discussions among the top executives of well-established software and SaaS companies.

That's why we've decided to create the group composed of SaaS entrepreneurs who are thinking about the expansion and growth of and scaling up an already established software company instead of building the minimal viable products or looking for seed funding.

If you're an entrepreneur for life with a bootstrapped SaaS that is currently earning an average of $10,000 per month, then we want to assist you in connecting with others just as you.

Similar to if you're a director of development at a venture-backed start-up that just crossed 10 million dollars annually.

This is the goal we will pursue on the next Global SaaS Leaders: to create a space where lets you share your views on the challenges unique to your company after you have reached product-market fit and start expanding.

3. Professionally moderated

It requires a committed and skilled moderator (or groups with moderators!) to establish a positive and welcoming culture within a community.

We've learned a lot from watching the Reddit community r/entrepreneur, as an instance.

Even the most respected communities like this could struggle to the focus. Interesting that there is. #1 thread of the year a combative post about how the rise of cryptocurrency is dominating the news feed:

Katie Stephan and Nathan Collier (authors of this article!) will be the initial moderators for the launch for our Global SaaS Leaders community.

More than 10 years managing online communities with hundreds of members.

and creating and launching this community is part of our jobs descriptions.

We'll be focusing on SaaS and software -- We'll also ensure you don't need to contend with unwelcome offers, spam and personal threats. Any form of trolling.

4. It's not specifically focused on venture capital, or round of funding.

What ever your scenario is, we're not concerned. In a bootstrap model, venture funded or private equity bought, or some other ownership model.

The world's SaaS Leaders aren't an conference that's solely focused on exit or funding strategies.

In the meantime, we'd like to create a forum that will have discussions about hiring or other tools for revenue and profit and pricing strategies, as well as technical infrastructure, as well as any other aspect that contributes to the development of a profitable software company.

It's fine if members occasionally discuss the topic of funding. However, it shouldn't be the only discussion.

5. The most useful SaaS as well as software communities on the web

There are some online communities that can be dangerous.

Whoever you are or where you're from and what you're from, our goal is for that you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and interacting in our community.

Katie along with me will do all we can to create an environment that is positive and supportive in our new neighborhood. We will also ensure that we'll never support any kind of personal attack, hatred, sexual discrimination, racism or any kind of disrespectful conduct.

Our mission is no more than that: to create the most supportive SaaS or software-driven community on the internet.
