How do you crochet the Jellyfish
Step 1: Start with your Body Workout
For the next row, increase each stitch. This means that you'll add 2 single crochets to each stitch, until the final row. This technique will widen the fabric and enable you to create the spherical shape of the jellyfish's head. Continue following the pattern until it's time to change colours.
Step 2: Switch Colors
Step 3: Add Details
Once the body of the jellyfish is formed then attach the eyes. Secure the safety eyes on the back of the piece and space the eyes approximately 10 stitches apart. The eyes are secured with security washers which are placed on the outside and outside.
Step 4: Close and fill the Jellyfish Body
As you progress, you will see your pattern start to appear as a series of drops, and you will eventually have a one small gap in the center of your jellyfish. Make small clumps of fiberfill. Then place them inside the jellyfish. It'll begin to form and shaping the body in the process. By stuffing it with a bit of grit, you allow it to stand up to multiple washes. But don't fill it to the point that your eyes appear to be expanding.
When the jellyfish is filled in the right way, proceed with increasing rows until you have closed the top. Once you've finished, tie the tail end of the yarn around the body.
Step 5: Attach Tentacles
You can create a variety of tentacles - ones that are lengthy and straight, some large and curly, and some in the form of a spiral. Make as many as you want, and in whatever design you like. Straight tentacles are easy to make however, to make an arc, stitch in a specific order (e.g. five half double crochets) then a single stitch.
After your tentacles are completed, attach your tentacles to the jellyfish using the aid of a yarn needle.
