HTML0 You are seeking new opportunities and a new direction to your profession.

Before I moved in London in 2017 I was in a tiny town in Germany working in the field of After Effects animator. There weren't many hurdles with my creativity, my abilities slowed down fast, and I was very dissatisfied.

The transition to London and getting to know everyone from the amazing animation community there gave me a massive positivity boost to my motivation. I was thinking "Damn that! Now I'm one of the top young people . I've better get my gear going."

After my experience at the Pictoplasma exhibit, I took the decision to enter the organization of creative character designers. It became clear that my characters work best created in 3D But I'm still learning and it's difficult, yet satisfying!

My work has been noticed through Greenhouse Animation, which is now my director.

Lemonade Insurance approached me to make a piece to coincide to the ongoing Instagram collaborative effort between artists. The role of the company is to act as an insurance company to content. The idea of adorable household items at risk immediately came to mind. This is how the X-Files idea was born.

It was winter and I was having a break from watching the x-files. So involving an alien abduction of the classic kind seemed to be logical. However, all of the characters had to be in the same spot to be at the same place to ensure that the animation loop can be stopped so they could not be caught. Then I got an idea of having the washing machine running and a pink sock that was flitting toward the UFO.

While creating an UFO while making the UFO's legs small I was struck by the manner in which things can go down. The UFO has lost its socks and is presently retrieving it!

I find that creating an engaging story is best when you combine different elements which may appear to be incompatible at first. Unplanned events of seeing an event happen, and then giving non-animated objects a personality by putting silly faces on them can be fun for me!

The Lemonade cover date is 2021.

     The workflow for animation

My process always begins with sketching the characters and sketching out the plot. I created this animated in order to advertise Lemonade in order to convey the idea and to aid in timing. As the next stage, I can access Cinema 4D and model all my characters. It is also the time to test out materials and make fashion frames.

Once the animation within Cinema 4D is done, I move it over to After Effects for final touches as well as composing. The light beam in pink, for instance, is possible with After Effects.

This was the first interaction I've worked with an sound professional Philip Brookes and he accomplished a fantastic job! The quality of his work takes this video to a completely higher level, and brings the entire thing together flawlessly! It was an incredible project to finish and I'm hoping that I can do numerous more videos like this one!

We've had a conversation with Phil about the technique that he employs to create sound effects to be utilized in the X-Files project. Listen to the conversation with Phil Brookes.
