HTML0 Begin by looking for opportunities and changing the direction of your career career.
Prior to my move into London in 2017, I was in a town of a tiny size in Germany as well as worked within the field that was After Effects animator. There weren't many chances to think creatively. My abilities slowed quickly and I felt frustrated.
Moving to London and meeting all the great animator in the city was an enormous boost. I thought "Damn I'm now among the cool kids. I need to start working on my equipment."
In the wake of my experiences at this year's Pictoplasma Event, I came to the choice to enter the ranks of intriguing character creators. This decision was made so quick that I'm now creating characters that work most effectively when they're in 3D and I'm continuing to learn the fundamentals from scratch. It's challenging, but also very satisfying!
My work was noticed at Greenhouse Animation, that is the company I am now directed for them.
Concerning regarding the X-Files project as well as the mystery surrounding socks disappearing
One of the first pieces I did for my clients which I designed in my own way that I was able to discover is my Covered by Lemonade clip.

Lemonade Insurance approached me to create a work for its regularly scheduled Instagram artist in collaboration. The company is an insurance company for content, the idea of cute household objects being in danger was in my mind. That's how the X-Files idea was born.
In the winter of the previous year, I was on lockdown watching all the x-files, so involving a traditional alien abduction seemed logical. But, every character needed be on the same place in the end, so to ensure that animation would be turned off to ensure none be actually abducted. That's when I had an idea to have that washing machine go up in flames while the one pink sock fly towards the UFO.
As I created the UFO and giving the UFO its legs, I could envision how the idea could turn into an actual reality. The UFO's socks have fallen off and is looking for it!
To me, creating memorable stories is the best way to combining different things that seem odd at first. In order to create an experience that's unexpected, as well as give unanimate objects personality through applying funny images to their surfaces is the ideal approach to making it enjoyable for me!
The animation process
My method always starts by sketching out the characters as well as the creation of a storyboard. I turned the storyboard into an animated movie to Lemonade to communicate the idea along with the moment. Then, I jump to Cinema 4D and model all my characters. Also, it is where I test techniques and design styles frames.
After the animation I have created with Cinema 4D is completed, I transfer it into After Effects for compositing and finishing touches. For instance, the light beam that's pink, for instance can be created with After Effects.

HTML0 Regarding the sound effects as well as work with Phill Brookes
It was my first collaboration I worked with sound engineer, Philip Brookes who took the project to the next level! The work he completed takes the entire film to a whole new level and connects everything flawlessly! It was an amazing project to finish and I'm hoping to create numerous videos similar to this!
We've talked to Phil about the process of making sounds for The X-Files project. Watch the entire conversation with Phil Brookes.
At present, I am working on discovering ways to create a rig for characters as well as creating stunning textures using Cinema 4D and Redshift. I am exploring the combination of 2D animation with 3D I'm excited to find out where my design journey for characters will take me to the next level!
Guidelines for artists on ways to change the direction of your career
Here are a few suggestions I'd like to provide for anyone who is considering switching directions
- Choose the method that suits your requirements best And then, put your money into learning that! Motion design can seem like you're required to know everything there is. However, this isn't the reality.
- Enjoy your exuberance and do not minimize the weirdness. Your uniqueness is distinctive. Your style, voice and your creativity are distinctive.
- Take your time and be patient with your thoughts. Whatever is happening in your mind, Accept it and come up with your own!
