Meghan's online business journey: how she balances work and health
Meghan began her career in sales. She then moved into a position as copywriter and eventually mixed the two jobs by working in advertising agencies. "I moved up the ladder within the agency world, and eventually lead the account teams," she recalled. "All along I was also working on my own healing work, and opening up to more of a spiritual path. In the end, I began to feel a little splintered within my work life, and the things I was feeling within my healing journey."
She was able to use a natural coping mechanism to process these conflicting feelings - journaling. She said, "I used journaling as one of my primary tools. It's always an integral part of what I'm about, as long as I have had either a pencil or pen on my desk. Journaling provides a space where we can freely express ourselves, which is so hard to find."
The year was 2016, and she shared the healing power of journaling other people through workshops in person, however, she shifted to an online world in 2019. She said "I know I had a lot to offer by teaching people and helping them recognize the path that they were on and to discover their own healing."
When Meghan started to make money from her journaling abilities beginning with a drip campaign as her first digital product. The way she described it was, "It was a 90-day journaling prompt subscription via an email sequence."

However, the rift between her work and personal life caught up with her - and it was hard. She wrote "In the month of February 2021, I experienced complete burnout. My doctor ordered me to take leave from job. I didn't return to work."
Something was going to have to give. Change was necessary so Meghan could regain balance in her health and her job. What was her solution? She was able to tap into her of commerce as a side hustle. She explained, "I took the leap and didn't know how it would go. I wasn't employed, didn't know the place I'd reside, or what I would need to do to stay alive."
The woman did the same thing that any business owner should do. She began making plans and searching for sources to enable her to run the business on full-time. She said "I had a clear idea of my budgetary range. In spite of the financial dread, I jumped into a coaching container along with a friend I'd been with for a while that was coaching. I was certain she could aid me to get there."

But just a few months later, when she was an full-time business owner, Meghan found she was taking a significant amount of time in the technical aspect of her company.
"As a solopreneur, I was overwhelmed by all of the technological advances," she recalled. "I would get distracted by technology, I could not find the time to concentrate to what I wanted to say. I needed to find out how to automate and establish repeatable systems, in order to concentrate on contents and the connection to people."

It was a pleasure to receive enthusiastic feedback from my clients when I employed coaching as a scheduling tool for their one-on-one sessions."
There are also tips on starting out with . She advised, "Get familiar with the automations and how things get linked. Hit every button and focus on the testing. Explore the functionality and don't be afraid to make some messy mistakes."
